Henry County, Virginia I WILLIAM LAWRENCE of Henry County, a citizen of Virginia do make and ordane and declare this instrument to be my last will and testament working all others. ITEM: to my beloved wife RACHEL LAWRENCE, it is my will and desire that she shall remain in possession of my land during her natural life. Also, my stock of horses, hogs, sheep, and cattle, household and kitchen furniture and plantation utensils that she shall retain them on the plantation for her benefit during her lifetime and at her death the above named stock of horses, hogs, sheep, and cattle, household, and kitchen furniture, and plantation tools to be equally divided among all my children. ITEM: to my two sons JESSE LAWRENCE and ARTHUR LAWRENCE, I give and bequeath to them and their heirs half of my tract of land forever. The other half I give and bequeath to my other three children namely: JAMES LAWRENCE, NANCY LAWRENCE, AND FEROBY FERGUSON to be equally divided among them. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my two sons JESSE LAWRENCE and ARTHUR LAWRENCE executors to this my last will and testament. The foregoing last will and testament of WILLIAM LAWRENCE, decd was exibited in Court by JESSE LAWRENCE and ARTHUR LAWRENCE the executors therein named proven by the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
