OWNERS: Doe Hill M.E. Church trustees. DESCRIPTION: This is a public cemetery and is one of the nicest in Highland. It is enclosed with a good fence, and is covered with a nice sod and grass which is kept mown off. The markers are in their proper position, and the ground is being kept as level as possible. It covers approximately three-fourths acres of ground. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The oldest graves to not have markers with inscriptions. The oldest inscription being 1856. The cemetery was used before this time, although it is not quite as old as some of the private graveyards around the village of Doe Hill. Yet, quite a few of the early settlers were buried here. The inscriptions are: Eli H. Wilson Born June 9, 1807 Died Sept. 1857 Martha E. Wilson Born July 25, 1842 Died April 1, 1857 Issac B.
