OWNERS: Jacob Hevener and his descendants. Jacob Hevener IV, present owner. (1936) DESCRIPTION: This is the private burial ground of the Hevener family. It is enclosed with a painted board fence and is in good condition. The ground is kept free of brush and all of the graves are marked with stones. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The land has been in the Hevener name since 1794. This family has always played an important part in the affairs of the county and its members are among the most influential citizens.
