Highland County, Virginia DATE: None. OWNERS: Miss Sallie Hiner. DESCRIPTION: It is a private graveyard of this branch of the Hiner family, and is in a very nice condition, being enclosed with a wire fence, and the ground well looked after and kept free of brush. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This graveyard is near where the pioneer Hiner settled in this county in 1775. This family name is represented in all districts of the county at present time. The inscriptions are: Jame Hiner (Jane or James = ?) Born Nov. 2, 1787 Died Aug. 29, 1858 Aged 70 years 9 mos. and 27 Da.
