Highland County, Virginia DATE: 1816. OWNERS: William Snyder, Hightown, Virginia, present owner. (1936) DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is no longer used. It is enclosed by a board fence. The stones have fallen over and are almost buried under the grass and soil. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The Kinkead family came here from Bath County. There are no members of the family in the community now. Inscriptions: Susan Daughter of Peter & Barbra Hull and wife of Thomas Kinkead Died Oct. 3, 1816 They that sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. Thomas Kinkead Died Nov. 20, 1844 May their names stand written in the book of remembrance, when he cometh to make up his jewels.
