Cemetery Location:  6 miles north of Monterey, Virginia near the Forks of 
                    Waters.
                    Highland County, Virginia


DATE:

1810, date of oldest grave.

OWNERS:

Jacob Peck and his descendants,
P.E. Puffenberger, present owner. (1936)

DESCRIPTION:

The area of this graveyard is about one hundred square feet.  It is surrounded 
by a wire fence and is kept in fair condition.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

The Pecks were among the first settlers of this locality.  Jacob Peck purchased 
the property from Garret Peck in 1796.  It consisted of 106 acres and the 
purchase price was $333.33.
