OWNERS: Stony Run Presbyterian Church DESCRIPTION: It is a public graveyard of the community of this church, and is in nice condition, situated back of the church, being enclosed with nice fence in the same lot with the church. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Although the markers with inscriptions dating before 1860 are few, it is said this graveyard dates from 1814 and that the church was built over some of the graves, the church being built in 1868. Some of the Wilson family were buried here, although no markers to their memory, it will be recalled the Wilsons were among the first settlers here, and that their fortified house was attacked by the Indians in 1764 this being the last Indian raid in Highland.
