OWNERS: Harry Wade, present owner’s name. (1937) DESCRIPTION: It is a private graveyard, and is in fair condition, being enclosed with a good fence, and the markers are in nice shape. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The Wade family first settled in this county in 1780, coming here from Maryland. Otho Wade was the first ordained minister of Highland which was in 1809. This Graveyard is older than the markers it contains. The inscriptions are: Emma E. Daughter of A.D. & C. Wade Born Dec. 18, 1853 Died Sept. 3, 1856 Matilda Wife of John Wade, Sr. Died Nov. 20, 1855 Aged 62 yrs. & 18 Days Reuben A. Wade Died Jan. 27, 1852 Aged 24 yrs. 4 m’s 26 d’s Electa E.
