Isle Of Wight County, Virginia DATE: 1854. OWNERS: Francis Norsworthy (1937) DESCRIPTION: Cemetery back of house about 10 yards, stone in good condition and legible. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Sacred to the Memory of Edmund Batten who departed this life January 3rd A.D. 1854 Blessed be the bark that Waft us to the shore, Where death divided friends Shall part no more, to join thee there, Here with the dust repose is all the hope, thy hopeless Mary knows.
