Jordan Cemetery Location: .25 mile east of Smithfield, Virginia on Route #10; thence .5 mile north of Route #10 on Route #658; thence .25 mile west of Route #658. Isle Of Wight County, Virginia DATE: 1813 OWNERS: Mrs. Mary McIlwaine. (1937) DESCRIPTION: This is a flat stone and a weed grows over it in spring and it is very hard to find except in winter. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: George Benn gave the land on which Benn’s Church was built. Sacred to the Memory of George Benn, Esqr. who departed this life on the 24th day of November 1813 Aged 51 years.
