Cemetery Location:  4 miles east of Benn’s Church, Virginia on Route #17, thence 
                    1 mile northeast of Route #17 on Route #663; thence 100 
                    yards north of Route #663.
                    Isle Of Wight County, Virginia

DESCRIPTION:

This cemetery is in the field back of the house and had just been cleaned off 
and the inscriptions were easily read.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

Mr. O.A. Chanell’s great grandfather and uncle were buried here.  Mrs. Chanell 
thinks that Arthur Chanell came from England and settled here.

John M. Pasteur
who departed this life
Jan. 11th, 1854
in the 29th year of his age
