To all to Whome these pSents shall Come, I y:e W:m BERKELEY K:t Gen:t &c: send greeting in our 
lord God, everlasting,  Whereas John CLAY late of this Colony dec'd: did by his last Will &  
testm:t ordain & appoint, That Mary his Relictt, should be Executrix of his Said Will & 
Testament  Wh said Mary CLAY, did att a Cort held in for Isle of Wight County the 20:th day of 
October 1675 Made humble Suite to the Cort That a probat of the said Will might be granted unto 
her: for wh cause, full power & lawfull Authoritie is hereby given & granted unto her to 
dispose of all & Singular, the goods rights & Creditts, of the said decedents estate, According 
to the true intent of the said last Will & Testam.t
Given under my hand this 15th day of November 1675
