Justices ~ Ordered that the Sheriff pay unto Micajah GRIFFIN this County's proportion for the Repairs done on the Bridge called Proctors over black water Swamp ~ ----------------------------------------------- An Indenture of bargain and Sale between William COPHER and Jesse COPHER of the one part and Micajah GRIFFIN of the other part was fully proved by the Oath of John LANCASTER the other Witness thereto and Ordered to be Recorded ~ ----------------------------------------------- The last will and Testament of Joshua EDWARDS deceased was presented in Court by Jacob EDWARDS the Executor therein named who made oath thereto according to law and the same being proved by the Oaths of Solomon EDWARDS, and James EDWARDS two of the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be Recorded, and on the motion of the said Executor who together with James EDWARDS and George HALL junior his Securities entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of two hundred pounds with condition as the law directs Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat thereof in due form ~ ----------------------------------------------- Upon the motion of Thomas GOODSON It is Ordered that his Ordinary license be Renewed for him to keep his Ordinary as usual who together with Nathaniel BURWELL his Security entered into and Acknowledged their bond in the penalty of fifty pounds with condition according to law ~ ----------------------------------------------- Ordered that Connymous MORRIS, Jethro GALE, Daniel BATTIN, and William MORRISON or any three or more of them being first Sworn before a Magistrate of this County do appraise in Current Money the Slaves (if any) and personal Estate of Joshua EDWARDS deceased and Return the Appraisement to the Court ~ ----------------------------------------------- An Appraisement of the Estate of William RAIFORD deceased being Returned is Ordered to be Recorded ~. ----------------------------------------------- The last will and Testament of George NORSWORTHY deceased was presented in Court by George NORSWORTHY the Executor therein named who made Oath thereto according to law and the same being proved by the Oaths of Jeremiah OUTLAND and Josiah OUTLAND the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be Recorded and on the motion of the said Executor who together with Tristam NORSWORTHY and Tristam NORSWORTHY junior his Securities entered into and acknowledged [page break]
