Isle of Wight County. We the grand Jury present the Surveyor of the Roads, from the first Swamp to the foot of Pine lane, and from Burks Mill to Nansemond line towards Suffolk, and from Richard JORDANs down Smiths Neck and Rascow Neck, and from the Bowiling Green to Newbys Mill, and from West's Mill to Fulghams ferry, and from Richard JORDAN's to old Town, and from Broad Water bridge to Smithfield, for not keeping up posts of direction- James CARY foreman- and having nothing further to present were then discharged- Ordered that Summons's be by the Clerk of this Court issued against the several an Respective persons this day presented to Summon them to appear at the next Court to Answer their presentments Respectively- Upon the motion of William BAGNALL It is Ordered that BREWER GODWIN, James PEDEN, Joseph FULGHAM and James WILLS or any three of them, do examine state & settle an account current of the estate of Elizabeth HUNTER, dec.d and make return thereof to the Court. The last Will and Testament of Anthony FULGHAM dec.d was presented in Court by Jesse FULGHAM the Executor therein named who made Oath thereto according to law, and the same being proved by the Oaths of James JOHNSON and James BRIDGER two of the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be Recorded, and on the motion of the said Executor who gave Bond & Security according to law Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probat thereof in due form Ordered that Thomas WILLS, Joshua TURNER, Edmund FULGHAM, and James JOHNSON or any three of them being first Sworn before a Magistrate of this County do appraise in current money the Slaves (if any) and personal Estate of Anthony FULGHAM dec.d & make return thereof to this Court- Upon the motion of Richard EDWARDS who made oath according to law and together with Gabriel GIBBS and Richard WRENN his Securitys entered into and acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of twenty thousand pounds with condition as the law directs Certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of Administration on the Estate of Benjamin EDWARDS dec.d in due form- Ordered that William HEATH, George MALLICOTE, James DERING and Abel JAMES or any three of them being first Sworn before a Magistrate of this Court do Appraise in current money the Slaves (if any) and personal Estate of Benja.
