Holliday with) agreement Calvin D. Holliday and Walter J. Holliday. This contract, made and entered into this 3rd day of August 1898, between Martha F. Holliday of the County of Isle of Wight, State of Virginia of the one part and her sons, Calvin D. and Walter J. Holliday, of the same place, parties of the other part whereas Calvin D. and Walter J. Holliday, being sons and heirs of Calvin D. Holliday, decd., and the farm upon which the deceased died having been bequeathed to them by will of the said C. D. Holliday, and to the exclusion of their mother, Martha F. Holliday, therefore, we, Calvin D. and Walter J. Holliday do bind ourselves, our heirs, administrators or assigns, to board and clothe, in a good and comfortable manner our mother, Martha F. Holliday, and give her a home in the old homestead so long as she lives, or so long as she remains our father’s widow, and in addition to this we further bind ourselves, our heirs, administrators or assigns to give our mother, the said Martha F. Holliday, twenty dollars ($20.00) each, both together, making forty dollars yearly or each year so long as she may live or so long as she remains our father’s widow. And I, the said Martha F. Holliday, in consideration of the above obligation mentioned in the above contract or agreement, do waive all my right, and interest thereto. Given under our hands this 24th day of September, 1898. Davis, a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid in the State of Virginia, do certify that Walter J. Holliday, Calvin D. Holliday, and Martha S. Holliday, whose names are signed to the writing above, bearing date on the 3rd day of August, 1898, have acknowledged the same before me in my County aforesaid.
