Know all men by these P'sents, 
that Wee William MILES William COOK and Mary COOKE of y.e County of Isle of 
Wight in Virginia Planter, for divers good Causes & Consideraçons, us 
thereunto moveing, & moore especially out of o.r Natural Loves & affecçons 
w.ch wee all bear, unto John PERSON the Sonne of John PERSON the Elder, doe by 
these p'sents for o.r selves, & every & either of us, Our & every & either of 
o.r Heires Executo.rs Administrators & Assignes Give possess & deliver unto 
the said John PERSON the Younger & to his Heires for ever, 
one parcell of Land Conteyning One Hundred Acres, 
lyeing & being on the Blackwater comonly soe Called and in the County of Isle 
of Wight bounded as followeth (vizt) 
begining att a Branch on the westerly side, where William COOK is already 
seated, 
runing West North West, from the Swamp att y.e head of which Branch, is A 
White Oak marked, 
and soe to runn along a Lyne on other marked Trees, w.ch runneth South West to 
the head of another Branch, which runneth South to y.e Swamp, 
and the Runn of the said Swamp to be the Bounds to the first beginning of the 
bounds herein bounded 
Which Land soe bounded being by estimaçon One Hundred Acres be it more or less 
in the said Bounds afore nominated & sett downe is to be taken out of a 
pattent belonging to us, w.ch Joyneth on the Land of John OLLIVER, being on 
the second Swamp [1100a., 29 Sep 1664, PB5:460] 
To have & to hould the said One hundred Acres of Land soe bounded being more 
or less within the said bounds, 
w.th all benifitts priviledges and Royaltyes whatsoever, thereunto 
apperteyning or any way belonging to him the said John PERSON Jun.r and to his 
for ever, with warranty hereof against all persons, that shall clayme any 
right unto the said Parcell or Tract of Land soe by us given or by any under 
us, or every & either of us, Our & every & either of Our Heires Executo.rs 
Administrators & Assignes either now or any tyme hereafter, 
Which Land soe by us given & bounded is to be & remaine in the possession of 
John PERSON the Elder, & Frances his Wife untill y.e said John PERSON their 
Sonne be of full age and after he come to y.e Age of One and Twenty yeares, 
then to be possessed w.th the said Land, Onely the said John PERSON & Frances 
his Wife is to have a part of the said Land to live upon dureing their lives, 
and after that to returne to y.e said John PERSON the Younger, & to his Heires 
for ever, accordeing to the intent & meaning of this our reall Act & Deed of 
Guift, 
And doe hereby further oblidge our selves & every & either of us; to rattifie 
Confirme & Acknowledge This our Deed

of Wight County, in Aprill 1665 to y.e performance & true meaning of this o.r 
Act wee have hereunto sett o.r hands & Seales, this Tenth day of Aprill One 
Thousand Six hundred Sixty & five; and in the Seaventeenth Year of the Reigne 
of o.r Sovereign Lord King Charles y.e Second

     Isle of Wight County  In these words (vizt)
