To All &c whereas &c Now Know ye that I ye sd Ffrancis Lord Howard Govr &c doe 
with ye 
Advice and consent of ye Councill of State accordingly give and grant unto 
ffrancis Davis one hundred acres of land scituate & lying in the Isle of 
Wight County, and beginning at a white oake standing in a line of 
Robert Lawrence jun.r & runeth along ye sd. Lawrences line north west & by 
north sixty nine pole to a pine, then north ten degrees east five & forty 
pole to a white oake, then north sixty four deg. west sixteene pole to a 
white oake Giles Lemscotts Corner tree, then along ye sd. Lemscotts line 
north west and by north one hundred ninety two pole to Jno Somerlins 
line, then by ye sd Somerlins line south ten deg: west one hundred fifty 
& six pole to a Red oake Richard Booths Corner tree, thence along ye sd 
Booths line of markt trees to ye first Station  Land is due by and for 
ye transportation of two psonse &c to have and to hold &c to be held &c i 
yeilding and paying &c w.ch payment &c provided &c dated this 
20th ~  ~ day of Octobr Anno Dom. 1688
