To all &c Whereas &c Now Know yee that I the Said Edward DIGGS Esq.r &c 
give and grant Unto Sam.l ELDRIDGE two hundred ninety five Acres of Land 
lyeing on the maine branch of the black Water 
between M.r SEAWARD's ["Seawards"] Patt: for[?] four hundred Acres and Humphry 
CLERK's ["Clerks"; CLARK, CLARKE] Land 
begining on the lower Side of the Said land, at a Small Spanish Oake, on the 
Side of the Said Swampe 
and runing upp East two hundred poles to a marked pine 
and from thence West two hundred pole to a Small Pochichery on the Swamp Side 
which at right Angles is distant from the first line two hundred and Thirty 
Six Poles 
and thence downe by the Side of the Said Swamp to the first Station 
the Said land being due unto the Said Sam.l ELDRIDGE by and for the 
Transportaçon of Six Persons into this Collony &c 
to have and to hold &c 
Yeiding and paying &c which Payment is to be made &c 
Dated the Eighth day of June 1655
