Deed of Bargain & Sale 

Whereas W.m PUDDIVATT [rendered PUDIVATT in patent, variously PUDEVATT, 
PUDDINANT, and possibly PUDDINGRAFF by J.B. Boddie] haveing A pattent granted 
unto him for the sume of Two Hundred Acres of Land in the Isle of Wight County 
dated ye 16th of may 1642 [10 Apr 1642, Pat. Bk. 1, p. 871] did bequeath the 
said Land by his last Will & Testam.t to his Wife Anne and her Heires, whoe 
dyeing the sd Land discended by Law to her heir John BESTPITH which said John 
BESTPITH, conveyed his right in the said Land to John WILSON by deed the 14.th 
of January 1652 whoe dyeing left the sd Land by his last Will to his daughter 
Jane, w.ch Jane married w.th me Richard GROSSE 
Now know all men by these p'sents that I the said Richard GROSS w.th ye full & 
unconstrained consent, of the sd Jane my Wife doe for a valluable consideracon 
already rec'ed make over alienate and Convey unto John MUNGER all ye right 
tytle & interest in the sd two hundred Acres of Land To have & to hould the 
same w.th all priviledges & emolum.ts whatsoever to him the said John MUNGER, 
and his Heires for ever 
In witness whereof wee have hereunto sett o'r hands & Seales this 10.th day of 
Jan.ry Anno Dom 1669
