BALLARD's Dec.d runing a South Course along William JOHNSON's line to a Post Oak standing in Elijah JOHNSON's a Corner tree of said William JOHNSON line thence along Elisha JOHNSON's line a ['Post Oak'] it being a Corner tree of the said bargained premsses, Elisha JOHNSON, and John NELMS, thence a North Course along the said NELMS to a Hickrey ['a'] Corner tree of the said NELMS, and Joseph FOWLER so runing along the said FOWLERs line to a small Red Oak a Corner tree of said FOWLER's thence a ['line'] striking Elisha l. BALLARD's Dec.d to the Begining; the said Ninety Seven Acres of Land being formally [sic] the Property of a certain M.r GUIN who died under the Age of Twenty one, and of course agreeable to Law (was after the death of the said GUIN) the Property of the aforementioned parties which was duly Advertised by the said parties and exposed to Public Sale and bid off by the said Salley BALLARD the said Suzannah CARR, Lois BUTLER, Jacob JOHNSON, and Wife Elizabeth, William DUCK, Solomon GUIN, William ROBERTSON, & Wife Nancey, Pettaway JOHNSON, Samuel JOHNSON, James CLARK, and Wife Suzannah, John LUTER, & Wife Alse do hereby Warrant and will Defend the Title of the above mentioned Tract or parcel of Land of Ninety ['Seven'] Acres with the Boundaries above mentioned together with Houses, Garden's [sic], Orchards, Woods, and Waters Profits comodities advantages Whatsoever unto the said Salley BALLARD her Heirs, and Assigns forever To Have and to Hold the above mentioned Tract or parcel of Land with all and Singular the Appurtenances, thereto belonging to her only proper use and benefit and further the said Suzannah CARR, Lois BUTLER, Jacob JOHNSON & Wife Elizabeth, William DUCK, Solomon GUIN, William ROBERTSON & Wife Nancey, Pettaway JOHNSON, Samuel JOHNSON, James CLARK & Wife Suzannah, John LUTER & Wife Alse LUTER for themselves their Heirs, and Assigns do warrant, promiss and agree with the said Salley BALLARD that they will at ['all'] or any time hereafter upon Reasonable Request of the said Salley BALLARD make any further right or Title of the said Lands and Tenements to the said Salley BALLARD and do also hereby exonerate and acquit themselves and all and every other person who shall or may claim under them from all manner of right, Title, Interest, claim, or Demand, to the above mentioned Land and premisses hereby confirming the same to the aforesaid Salley BALLARD her Heirs and Assigns forever.
