ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - Elijah Johnson to Citty Johnson of Colour, 26 Mar 1810 ----¤¤¤---- This Indenture made this 26th day of third Month in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred ten between Elijah Johnson of Isle of Wight County of the one part and Citty Johnson of Colour of said County of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Elijah Johnson for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars to him in hand paid or secured, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained & Sold, Aliened Enfeoffed and by these presents doth grant bargain, sell alien Enfeoff and forever quit claim to a certain tract of land which he hath conveyed to the said Citty of colour, lying and being in the County aforesaid, containing fifty Acres be the same more or less; and bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a corner pine in Godwin Councils line, thence along said Councils line S.79 W.24 pole a pine a corner in R?iley Fowlers line, thence along sd Fowlers line and Mills Carr’s line N.18 E. 174 poles a black Gum a corner in sd Carr line, thence a new line of marked trees S.58. E.76 pole a corner pine in a pacoson & thence a new line S.27 W. to a pine near the road in said Councils line, thence along said Councils line to the first station and also all trees, Woods, underwoods, Commons, Common of pastures, profits, commodities, advantages, emoluments & Hereditaments whatsoever to the said Elijah or his heirs ­ To the only proper use and behoof of the the said Citty Johnson to have & to hold all and Singular the land above mentioned with the appurtenances thereto belonging or any ways appertaining or in or upon the same p???ing happening or arising to the said Elijah Johnson his heirs and assigns; Shall and will Warrant and forever defend the title of said land unto the sd Citty Johnson or her heirs.
