This Indenture, made this seventeenth Day of June in the Year of our Lord 
Christ one thousand seven Hundred & Eighty five 
Between Wade MOUNTFORT & Mildred his wife & Thomas CAMP of the parrish of 
Newport & County of Isle of Wight of the one part 
& Simon BOYKIN & James ANDREWS of Notoway parrish & County of Southampton of 
the other part 
Witnesseth that the said Wade MOUNTFORD, Thomas CAMP and Mildred MOUNTFORD for 
& in consideration of the sum of fifty five Pounds Virginia Currency to him in 
hand paid by the said Simon BOYKIN & James ANDREWS 
the receipt whereof they doth hereby acknowledge 
hath granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed & by these presents 
doth grant Bargain Sell alien release & confirm unto unto [sic] the said Simon 
BOYKIN & James ANDREWS & to their Heirs and Assigns 
all that Plantation Tract or parcel of Land & Premises with the Appurtenances 
now in the tenere [tenure] & Occupation of the said Simon BOYKIN & James 
ANDREWS & to their Heirs & Assigns; 
Situate lying & being in the said Parrish of Newport & County of Isle of Wight 
on the East side Black-Water-River containing by

Estimation seventy five acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows 
Begining at the Branch just above the Bridge 
thence running up the the [sic] said branch to a Black-Gum adjoining Rawleigh 
BARRETT's line 
thence running the said line to a read Oak at the Horse Swamp 
down the horse Swamp to Black Water 
up Black-Water to the first Station 
& all Houses out-Houses edifices Buildings, Yards, Gardens, Orchards Trees 
was [ways] Water, Water Courses, profits, commodities, hereditaments and 
appurtenances to the said Tract or parcel of Land belonging or in any wise 
appertaining & the reversion or reversions remainder & remainders rents 
Issues & profits thereof and all the Estate right Titles & Interest use trust 
procession property claim & demand whatsoever of them the said Wade MOUNTFORT 
Thomas CAMP & Mildred MOUNTFORT of in & to the same & every part thereof and 
all Dedds [sic] evidences & Writings touching or in any wise concerning the 
same 
To have & to hold the aforesaid Plantation Tract or parcel of Land and 
premises with the Appurtenances unto the said Simon BOYKIN & James ANDREWS 
their Heirs & Assigns forever 
& the said Wade MOUNTFORT Thomas CAMP & Mildred MOUNTFORT for themselves their 
Heirs Executors & Administrators doth hereby covenant promise and grant to and 
with the [said] Simon BOYKIN & James ANDREWS their Heirs & Assigns by these 
presents that we the said Wade MOUNTFORT Thomas CAMP & Mildred MOUNTFORT hat 
[sic] hereby granted unto the said Simon BOYKIN & James ANDREWS their Heirs & 
Assigns forever against the title claim or demand of any person or persons 
whatsoever shall & will warrant and forever defend by these presents 
In Witness whereof the said Wade MOUNTFORT Thomas CAMP & Mildred MOUNTFORT

was acknowledged by Thomas CAMP, Wade MOUNTFORD & Mildred his Wife partys 
thereto she having been first privily examined as the Law directs freely & 
Voluntarily relinquished her Right of dower to the Lands conveyed by the said 
Indenture & Ordered to be recorded ~
