The original delivered to grantor, July 14th, 1882. N.P. YOUNG This Deed Made this 19_th day of October in the year 1881 A.D. between Z.A. MUNFORD _ _ _ MUNFORD, [sic] John A. MUNFORD, Evilina FOWLER, W.J. FOWLER, Margret A. BRADSHAW, Edwin BRADSHAW and Cammilla C. BARRET parties of the first part of the County of Isle of Wight and State of Virginia, and George W. MUNFORD Party of the second part, of the said County and State Witnesseth, That for and in consideration of six hundred dollars cash in hand paid, the receipt hereof is hereby acknowledged, the said parties of the first part do grant, bargain sell & confirm with special warranty unto the said George W. MUNFORD his heirs and assigns forever the following property to wit, All right title and interest of every sort and kind in and to all that tract or parcel of land of Which Zach: MUNFORD died seized & possessed lying and being in the County and State aforesaid and bounded as follows - By the County road leading from Mt. Carmel to Franklin, by the lands of Mrs. Ann STEPHENSON, Evilina FOWLER, J.W. DUCK, Jos. E.T. JOYNER and W_m H. VAUGHAN, together with all appurtenances forever to him his heirs and assigns - It is also covenanted and agreed that the parties of the first part aforesaid will make and execute such other and further assurances as may be necessary to give the said George W. BARRET whose names are signed to the writing above bearing date on the 17th [sic- underlined] day of Oct. 1881 personally appeared before me in my county aforesaid and State aforesaid and acknowledged the said writing. I further certify that Edith MUNFORD wife of said Zachariah A. MUNFORD, Evilina FOWLER wife of said W.J. FOWLER and Margret A. BRADSHAW wife of said Edwin BRADSHAW whose names are signed to the said writing appeared before at the same place the writing aforesaid being fully explained to each & each of the said Edith MUNFORD, Evilina FOWLER, and Margret A. BRADSHAW being examined by me privily and apart from her said husband, the said Edith MUNFORD, Evilina FOWLER, and Margret BRADSHAW each and all of them did acknowledge the said writing and declared every one of them that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.
