Murphy, 25 Apr 2002] 581 Darden to Murfry Deed Know all Men by these PreSents that I Jacob Darden of the Isle of Wight County in Virginia Planter Have Alined Bargained & Sold and do for a valuable consideration of One Thousand Pounds of Tobacco to me paid before the sealing and delivery hereof Bargain Sell & Deliver unto William Murfry of the County aforesd and to his heirs & ASsigns forever a certain parcel of Land situate and being on the South WeSt side of the WeStern Branch Swamp containing by Estimation One hundred Acres the sd Land adjoining upon a Parcel of Land belonging to the said Murfry and by him taken up Beginning at a marked White Oak belonging to ffrans. Briddles Patent so running North Twenty three Degrees EaSt to a small Red Oak the sd Oak being a Corner Tree of Robert Hookes Land and so by Hookes's Line North-WeSt sixty eight Pole to a marked Red Oak a Line Tree of Robert Hookes's so running South WeSt and by South along a Line of marked Trees to a small Red Oak Shrub standing in ffrancis Briddles Line and so down ffrancis Briddles Line to the first station. To Have and to Hold the said Land with all Rights & Priviledges of the [same and?] Hunting & Fowling with all Woods & Waters and all the proffits and Commodities & Hereditaments thereunto belonging to the said & appertaining to him the said Murfrey his heirs & aSsignss forever in as large and ample manner to all [his?] purposes as I might have Enjoyed the the [sic] same by virtue of a Patent to me granted 20th day of April 1682 Farther I the said Jacob do oblidge all my Heirs & ASsigns from any PerSon or PerSons that shall lay any Claim Set[?] or Interest thereunto by Virtue of me or any other PerSons whatsoever In WitneSs whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & Seal this 24' day of April 1684.
