Know all Men by these Presents that I Mathew TOMLIN of the lower Parish of the Isle of Wight County in Virginia have for a valuable Consideration to me in Hand paid before the Sealing & Delivery hereof by John JOHNSON of the Parish & County afors.d Bargained Sold and do hereby for me my Heirs Executors & Administrators for ever Bargain Sell and Deliver Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said John JOHNSON his Heirs & Assigns for ever a certain Parcel of Land containing Two Hundred Twenty ffive Acres being Scituate in the Parish & County aforesaid and commonly called Pigneck the said Parcel of Land being thus Bounded Beginning at a Marked Gum Thomas HARRIS's Corner Tree in the Head of a Branch by the Edge of a Pocoson thence by the Pocoson Side North four Degrees & an half Westerly a Hundred Forty Two Pole to a Pine, then West a Quarter of a Point Southerly two Hundred & sixteen Pole to a small red Oak Sappling a little above the Head of a Small Branch being Mary TURNER's Corner Tree, thence down the said Branch to a Greater and down that 'till it meets or joins w.th another at the very Bottom of the Neck, both these Branches divide this Land from the Land of Mary TURNER afores.d Thence up the other Branch which divides this Land from the Land of Thomas HARRIS above mentioned to the Place where it began To Have and to Hold the said Parcel of Land with his due share of all Mines & Minerals therein contained together with all Houses Orchards Gardens Woods Ways and Waters with Priveledge of Hunting Hawking Fishing & ffowling and all other Proffitts Commodities & Hereditaments whatsoever to the said Land belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said John JOHNSON and to his Heirs & Assigns for ever in as full & ample Manner to all Intents & Purposes as I my Self might or could have Enjoyed the same by Virtue of a Patent to me granted for Twelve Hundred & Twenty Seven Acres whereof this is part And I do also Covenant Declare and Promise to and with the said JOHNSON his Heirs & Assigns that the said Parcel of Land and Every Part thereof is at this present Clear & ffree from all & all manner of former Bargains Sales Jointures Judgements Executions and all other Incumbrances whatsoever.
