[...] [margin note] JOYNER } to } Deed UZZELL } Know all men by these presents that whereas Edmond JOYNER and his wife Charlotte JOYNER of the County of Isle of wight for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars current money of Virginia in hand paid by one Thomas UZZELL of the same county before the sealing and delivery of these presents whereof and wherewith we do hereby acknowledge ourselves fully satisfied contented and paid have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do fully clearly and absolutely grant bargain sell and make over unto the said Thomas UZZELL Three acres of swamp land, be the same more or less, lying and being in the county of Isle of wight and State of Virginia and bounded as follows, Beginning at the main run of the Cypress Swamp at a cypress tree, from thence to a poplar, from thence to a pine, from thence to a Sweet Gum a Corner tree, from thence across a branch to an Elm, from thence along the hill Side to a beach a corner tree, from thence along the hill Side to a Maple in the Swamp from thence up the main run of the Said Swamp to the beginning_ and all to the reversion and reversions remainder, and remainders of the said land and premises To have and to hold the said tract unto the said Thomas UZZELL his heirs executors admin.rs or Assigns from the day and date hereon forever hereafter to have, hold, occupy, possess and enjoy the said tract with all rights and profits whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto without the least hindrance molestation, cumbrance or trouble of them the said Edmond JOYNER and his wife Charlotte JOYNER their heirs executors or admors or by any person whatsoever, or by his or their knowledge or consent, without any manner of condition or limitation of use or uses rent or rents (the rent to the common wealth only excepted) And for the better consideration of the before demised premises the said Edmond JOYNER and his wife Charlotte JOYNER, doth hereby oblige themselves to acknowledge this deed of sale in open court, when thereto required, to be their free and Voluntary act and deed.
