[margin note] TYNES &.c Comm.rs to } Deed PARR = This Indenture made this 18.th day of June in the year of Christ Eighteen hundred an twelve Between Robert TYNES, Thomas UZZELL & John PHILLIPS of the County of Isle of wight, as commissioners named and appointed by a decree of the court of Isle of wight, for the purposes therein mentioned a copy of which is hereunto annexed, of the one part, and John PARR of the same County of the other part, Witnesseth that the above named commissioners for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and fifty dollars bonded and Secured to the complainant and defendant agreeable to the directions of the Said decree, and by Virtue of the powers vested in them by the decree aforesaid, the ['they'; clerk's error] the Said commissioners have bargained and Sold and by these presents doth bargain and Sell unto the said John PARR his heirs and assigns forever the land in the said County of which Henry JEMAICA died Seized, Containing about Thirty Seven acres be the same more or less, comprehended in the following boundaries, to wit, By the lands of Dolphin DRIVER, Elizabeth JOLLY, James GARNER and the land of Thomas GARNER's heirs, together with all & Singular the improvements and advantages thereunto belonging whether natural or artificial and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, yearly and other rents, issues, and profits thereof, To have and to hold the Said land and appurtenances unto the said John PARR his heirs and assigns forever. free from the claim or claims of them the commissioners before named or either of them, their or either of their heirs or assigns, and the said commissioners for themselves and their heirs unto the said John PARR and his heirs and assigns forever do by these presents warrant the title unto the said land and appurtenances against themselves their heirs and assigns forever - but by the nature of their power by which they execute these presents, they cannot and do not warrant the said title against the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever who may claim otherways than by from or under them or either of them the said commissioners - In evidence of all which the said Robert TYNES, Thomas UZZELL and John PHILLIPS have hereunto in their character as commissioners Set their hands and Seals the day and year above written - Robert TYNES ¤Seal¤ Thomas UZZELL ¤Seal¤ John PHILLIPS ¤Seal¤ ~#~ Signed Sealed and delivered} in the presence of.........} [no witnesses given] Isle of wight County June the 18.th 1812. then received the bonds for the consideration money fro the said John PARR ~ Ro: TYNES Thos: UZZELL Jno: PHILLIPS ~#~ Witness [blank] At a court held for Isle of wight County the 5.th day of July 1812 the above Indenture and receipt were acknowledged by Robert TYNES and John PHILLIPS parties thereto and at another court held for the said County the 7.th day of December 1812 the same was acknowledged by Thomas UZZELL the other party thereto and ordered to be recorded Teste Nath.l YOUNG Cl. ~#~ [page end] Isle of Wight Co., VA, Deed Book 21 (1809-1812), p. 536 Library of Virginia, Isle of Wight Co.
