ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VA - DEEDS - William WHITLEY & wife Lucy and mother Ann [Mrs. Elisha] WHITLEY to John UZZELL, 7 Mar 1814 Deed of Bargain & Sale ----¤¤¤---- [p.] 141 [...] [margin note] WHITLEY to } Deed UZZELL This Indenture made this [blank] day of March in the year of Christ one thousand eight hundred and fourteen Between William WHITLEY and Lucy his wife and Ann WHITLEY widow and relict of Elisha WHITLEY dec.d of the one part and John UZZELL of the other part, each of the State of Virginia and county of Isle of wight Witnesseth that the Said William WHITLEY and Lucy his wife and Ann WHITLEY for and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said John UZZELL the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged [margin notes] Exam.d & del.d} Buxton gale } have granted bargained and Sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and Sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said John UZZELL his heirs and assigns All that tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and fifty acres be the Same more or less lying and being in the county aforesaid and was conveyed to the Said William WHITLEY by his father the aforesaid Elisha WHITLEY as by deed of Gift recorded in the court of the said county, the eighth day of July One thousand eight hundred will more fully appear and bounded as follows Beginning at an ash in Francis W.
