West/Jones Gift Deed, 1719 - Isle of Wight Co. VA Deed of Gift. Rebeccah ____ Jones West. 1719. Isle of Wight County Virginia "Know all men by these presents that I Rebeccah West in the Lower Pish of Isle of Wight County, Widow, for and in consideration of the naturall affection which I have for my four children Edward Jones, Obedience Jones, James Jones and Sarah Jones and also for Divers other good causes and considerations moving me at this psant have given granted and by these presents Do give grant confirm unto my son Edward Jones one young horse, one heifor of three years old another of five year old and two of one year old and their Encrease and two Sows and their Encrease and one gunn and ye ten pounds which is Dow from William Bradley to me by hand in Hennarico County and unto my Daughter Obedience Jones I give one Heifor of two years old and two heifors of one year old and their Encrease and one horse colt of a year old and two sows and their Encrease and after my Decease my Side Saddle and to my Son James Jones I give ten pounds current money to be payd out of my present Estate to him when he shall attain to ye age ot twenty he being eleven years of age in February nex Ensuing. And to my Daughter Sarah I give one young Cow and Calf and their Encrease and five pounds current money to be payed when she shall attain to ye age of Sixteen years she being five years of age next July and if any of my Children shall die before ye said ages of twenty or Sixteen then in my will and meaning is that Every Such part or parts of the Deceased shall be divided in Equal portions among ye survivors of them all and their Heirs for Ever to them and their own proper uses and behoof for ever Frely and Quietly without any murmor of Challenge claim or Demand of me the Sd Rebeccah mother of ye aforesaid Children or of any other pson or psons Whatsoever for me in my name by my causement or Procurement and without any money or other thing therefore to be yielded payd or Done unto me Ye sd Rebeccah or my Exrs Admrs or Assigns and I the said Rebeccah all and Singular the aforesaid Creatures and money to my aforesaid Children to them to their Exrs, Admrs and Assigns to them and their use aforesaid against all people do Warrant and forever Defend by these presents and further be it known that I the Sd Rebeccah have put my Sd Children in Inescapable and quiet possession of all and singular the aforesd Creatures by the delivery of them at ye ensealing hereof unto them.
