VA Deeds, etc. Bk. 15, pgs 156-158 FHLC #32008 This Indenture made this twenty fourth Day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three Between Richard Wrenn of the County of Isle of Wight planter of the one part and Benjamin Jones of the same County planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard Wrenn for and In consideration of the Sum of Six pounds Current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Benjamin Jones before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge & himself therewith fully Satisfied and paid hath Given Granted Bargained Sold aliened Enfeoffed, Released Confirmed and conveyed and by these presents doth for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators fully freely and absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Aliene Enfeoff Release Convey & fully Confirm unto the said Benjamin Jones his heirs Exors Admors & Assigns forever, one certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being on the South side of the main road in Isle of Wight County Containing by Estimation Ten Acres Be the same more or less & Bounded as follows (Vizt) Beginning at the main Road and from thence through the pacoson? a new line of marked trees to Willis Wards line thence along Willis Wards line to the main road thence along the main road to the Beginning it Being part of land that Francis Wrenn Senr purchased of Emanuel Hunter & Given to his Son Richard Wrenn in his last Will and Testament Together with all and Singular the houses outhouses Yard Gardens Orchards woods underwoods ways waters watercourses & all and Singular the rights profits previledges hereditiments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any manner of ways appurtaining to have hold Occupy possess and Enjoy the before Granted and Bargained Land & premises With their and Every of their appurtenances unto the said Benjamin Jones his heirs & assigns Forever in Sure possession & Estate of Inheritance in fee simple & the said Richard Wrenn for himself his heirs Exors and admors doth Covenant promise & agree to and with the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and assigns that before the Ensealing & Delivery hereof, he is the true Sole and Lawful Owner of the said granted Land and premises and that the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and Assigns shall and may from time to time & at all times hereafter by force and Virtue of these presents ???? hold & peaceably and quietly possess Enjoy the before granted land & premises with their appurtenances, free and clear & freely Freely and Clearly acquitted of and discharged from all & all manner of former Gifts Grants Bargains Sales leases Intails thirds dowers Judgements Executions or other Molestations whatsoever whereby the said Benjamin Jones his heirs Executors, Administrators or Assigns may at any time hereafter be molested or Ejected out of the peaceable possession of the said land and premises & further the said Richard Wrenn Doth promise and Engage to & with the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and assigns as well in his Own name & Behalf as in the name & Behalf of his heirs Exors & admors forever Hereafter To Warrant and Defend the said Land & premises from all persons whatsoever Claiming any part thereof In Witness whereof the said Richard Wrenn hath set his Hand & Affixed his Seal the Day and Year above Written Sealed & Delivered In presence of Richard Wrenn (Seal) Thomas Wrenn his Emanuel X Hunter mark Memorandum that on the Twenty fourth Day of April one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three quiet and peaceable possession of the within mentioned Land & premises was Given & Received by the Within named Richard Wrenn unto the within named Benjamin Jones according to the true Intent & Meaning of these presents In Witness &C his mark Thomas Wrenn Emanuel X Hunter } Richard Wrenn (Seal) At a Court Held for Isle of Wight County the 3rd Day of July 1783 This Indenture with the memorandum thereon Endorced was Acknowledged by Richard Wrenn party thereto and Ordered to be Recorded Examd/ Teste Francis Young DCl ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright.
