VA Deed Book 14, pgs 204-207 FHLC #32007 This Indenture made this Twenty Second of December One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty ????? between James Clark of Isle of Wight County and Cathrine his wife of the Common wealth of Virginia of the one part and Josiah Wren of the same County and Colony aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said James Clark and Catharine his wife for them selves and their Heirs and Assigns for and in Consideration of the sum of one Thousand Pound Current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said Josiah Wren the Receipt where of they Doth here by acknowledge have granted bargained and Sold alliend and confirmd and by these presents for them Selves their heirs & assigns &c do Give Grant bargain and Sell Allien enfeoff and confirm unto the Said Josiah Wren and to his heirs and assigns for ever a certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Isle of Wight begining at the head of Browns branch to a Gum upon John Clark ?????
