VA Deeds, etc. Bk. 16, pg 331 FHLC #32008 This Indenture made this 3rd Day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety one Between Thomas Wrenn and Mary his wife of the Parish of Newport and County of Isle of Wight of the one part and Benjamin Jones of the Parish and County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Wrenn and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Benjamin Jones at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents, Receipt whereof the said Thomas Wrenn and his wife doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof doth acquit and discharge the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and Assigns for ever, hath granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and sell aliene and confirm unto the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and Assigns for ever a certain tract of land, lying and situated, and bounded Vizt. Begining at the Mossey branch, runing down the Mossey branch into the Cat tail swamp, then turning up ??? of the Swamp, runing near a last course by a straight line of marked trees, and Joining Thomas Wards line then runing along Wards line near a West? coast? to Road, to a pine, from thence to the first station, containing one hundred and seventy three Acres be the same more or less, together with all the benefits, and Advantages whatsoever appurtaining or belonging to the said tract or parcel of land, and the Remainder, and Reversions of the same unto the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and Assigns together with all the estate, right, title, interest, property, claims and demands unto him the said Benjamin Jones and to his heirs and Assigns for ever To have and hold the aforesaid land and premises together with the appurtenances free and clear from all manner of incumbrances and molestation for ever and lastly the said Thomas Wrenn and Mary his wife doth hereby Warrant and defend the title of the aforesaid land, unto the said Benjamin Jones his heirs and Assigns for ever against all persons whatever claiming the same by, from, or under him the said Thomas and Mary his wife, their heirs Executors Administrators or by, from or under any other person or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof the said Thomas Wrenn and Mary his wife hath hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year above written ----------- Test.
