VA Will Bk. 9, pgs 100-101 FHLC # 32025 This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of July in the year of our lord god one Thousand Seven Hundred & eighty two Between Josiah Wrenn and Elizabeth Wrenn his wife of the County of Isle of Wight of the one part & John Vellines of the aforesaid County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Josiah Wrenn and Elizabeth his wife for and Inconsideration of the sum of Fifty pounds Current Money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said John Vellines the receipt whereof they do and each of them doth hereby Acknowledge have and each of them hath bargaind bargained Sold Aliened and Confirmed and By these Presents do & Doth Grant Bargain and sell unto the said John Vellines his heirs & Assigns forever all that tract or parcel of land Situate Lying and Being In the County of Isle of Wight Containing by estimation One Hundred Acres be the Same more or less and bounded as followeth Begining at a small Gum a Corner tree of John Clark's then running a west Course Joining on Andrew Machie's land up the Said line of marked trees to the mirery Branch Joining on Charles Fulgham then down the said Mirery branch to the water Courses North down to a bottom then up the Said bottom along the said line of marked Trees to a pine a Corner tree of Armistead Vellines's then along a line of marked trees to the head of a branch then down the said branch to Brown's branch then up the said branch then up the water Course to the first station this being part of the lad that formerly belonged to Benjamin Clark, with all woods underwoods, pastures Commodities Advantages Hereditaments & Appurtenances Whatsoever to the said Messuage above mentioned belonging or in any wise appurtaining and also the Reversion & Reversions remainder and remainders rents & Services of the said premises or any part thereof & all the Estate right Title Interest Claim & Demand whatsoever of them the said Josiah Wrenn & Elizabeth his wife of & in to the said messuage Tenement & premises & every part thereof To have & to hold the said Messuage tenement & all & singular the said premises above mentioned & every part & parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said John Vellines his heirs & Assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the said John Vellines his heirs & Assigns forever & the Josiah Wrenn & Elizabeth his wife for them and their Heirs & against all and every other person and persons whatsoever to the said John Vellines his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever Defend by these presents In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our Hands & affixed our seals the Day & Year above Written --------- Signed Seal'd& Delivered Josiah Wrenn (Seal) In the presence of her Armistead Vellines Elizabeth X Wrenn (Seal) Isaac Vellines mark Moody Thomas At a Court held for Isle of Wight County the 5th Day of December 1782 This Indenture was partly proved by the Oaths of Armistead Vellines and Isaac Vellines two of the Witnesses thereto ­ and at a Court held for the said County the 6th Day of February 1783 the said Indenture was fully Proved by the oath of Moody Thomas the other witness thereto and Ordered to be Recorded ---- -------- Test Francis Young DCl C??? ___________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
