E. B. WHITE ACCEPTS WINDSOR CALL Rev. E.B. White, who has been pastor of the Christian Church at Dendron since January 1927, has accepted a call to the pastorate of the Christian churches at Windsor, Antioch and Isle of Wight. Rev. White will also be pastor of the Christian Church at Sunbury, N.C., or Damascus, of which he has been pastor for the past year. Mr. White will make his home at Windsor. He preached his farewell sermon to his Dendron congregation Sunday morning, Oct. 27. Rev. E.B. WHITE GETS HANDSOME PRESENT Dendron, Va., Dec. 17 - The many friends of Rev. E.B. White from the various churches in Dendron have presented him with a handsome gold watch and chain. Mr. White who recently accepted the pastorate of the Christian Churches at Windsor, Antioch, Isle of Wight and Damascus, was for the past two years pastor of the Christian Church at Dendron. ****************************************************************************** "Smithfield (VA) Times," Vol. 12, No. 16, Thurs., July 23, 1931, p. 6 CHURCH CIRCUIT CALLS REV. WHITE Suffolk, July 21 - The Rev. E.B. White of Windsor, has received a call to serve the following circuit of churches: Windsor Christian, Isle of Wight; Antioch Christian, and Damascus Christian, near Sunbury, N.C. Mr. White has not yet accepted the call. Revival services will be held at Damascus Church beginning July 27. On Thursday, July 30, an old-fashioned all-day meeting will be held with a picnic dinner served on the grounds. During the month of August, Mr. White has been granted a vacation and will attend a Bible conference at Massanetta Springs. ****************************************************************************** "Tri-County News (Wakefield, VA), Vol. 3, No. 45, Fri., Aug. 7, 1931, p. 1 REV. E. B. WHITE TO REMAIN IN WINDSOR Windsor, Va., August 3 - The Rev. E.B. White, for the past two years pastor of the churches of the Windsor Circuit, Christian denomination, and for four years pastor of Damascus Christian Church, in Gates County, N.C., has received a call from the churches of the Windsor Circuit, including Windsor, Antioch and Isle of Wight, to return for another year as their pastor, and from the Damasus Church to serve there another year. Rev. White has decided to accept the call extended him by these churches. The Rev. Mr. White and family take an active part in every phase of community life and are held in high esteem by the people of this community. Mr. White will continue to supply the Eure Christian Church, Eure, N.C., preaching each fourth Sunday afternoon. ****************************************************************************** Tri-County News, Volume 6, Number 4, Fri., 3 November 1933 p. 1 Rev. White Preaches His Farewell Sermon Windsor, Va., Oct. 23 - The Sunday morning service at the Windsor Christian Church was impressive, attractive and inspiring. The Rev. E.B. White, pastor of the Windsor Church for the past four years, preached his final sermon as pastor of that congregation, with a large congregation present. Rev. Mr. White severs his connection with the Windsor church as pastor, but will continue to live in that town and will preach at Antioch Christian Church on the morning of the third Sunday, at 11 a.m., at Damascus on the second Sunday at 11 a.m., and the fourth Sunday night at 7:30 p.m., at Isle of Wight the third Sunday night at 7:30 p.m., and at Eure Christian Church, Gates County, N.C., second Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Many expressions of regret were heard at the severance of his pastorate with Windsor Church and tribute was paid to his splendid work in the life of the community and interest in the schools, as a member of the Community League, Red Cross Chapter and as a member of important committees. *Additional information: Rev.
