Frank Morgan, former pastor of Old Zion Christian Church, Norfolk, will begin preaching next month on the Windsor-Isle of Wight-Antioch and Mt. Carmel charge. Revival services begin at Mt. Carmel the first Sunday in September. The Rev. Morgan will be there for these services. He will preach his first sermon in the Windsor Christian Church on September 12. ****************************************************************************** - Windsor News - New Pastor Assumes Duties The Rev. J. Frank Morgan, a well-known minister in the Norfolk area, has moved to Windsor to assume his duties in the this community as pastor of the Congregational Churches. In his new work Mr. Morgan will serve Antioch, Isle of Wight, Mt. Carmel and Windsor, with the parsonage located in Windsor. A former president of the Tidewater Ministerial Union and the Norfolk- Portsmouth Christian Endeavor Union, Mr. Morgan resigned from his local church several weeks ago. He is a native of Moore County, N.C. and was graduated from Elon College, North Carolina, in 1914. After serving as pastor of Shady Grove Christian Church, in North Carolina, he went to Norfolk to the First Christian Church, Berkley. Served 20 Years In 1922 Mr. Morgan accepted a call to Winchester where he stayed 3 years before returning to the Norfolk area to serve as pastor of the Rosemont Christian Church for a period of 20 years. Upon leaving Rosemont he became pastor of the Second Christian Church in Norfolk. Music has played an important part in the ministry of Mr. Morgan, who is a well-known tenor soloist. He is not only active in conducting revival services but leads the singing as well. He has placed particular emphasis upon Young Peoples' work during his Ministry, which was responsible for the time and attention he has given to the Christian Endeavor. His wife, a well-known organist, is very active also in church work. ****************************************************************************** - Windsor News - Reception Held For New Pastor A reception was given Tuesday night in honor of Rev. and Mrs. J. Frank Morgan by the Windsor Christian church, Isle of Wight Church, Mt. Carmel Christian Church, and Antioch Christian Church. Rev. Morgan is the new pastor of this charge. A program was given by members of the churches. Vernon Joyner of Mt. Carmel played "Irish Lullaby" and "Melody Time." A group of girls composed of Miss Geraldine Joyner of Isle of Wight, Miss Carolyn Edwards of Antioch, and Misses Norma Steele Boyette, Marianne Steele, Phyllis Joyner, Kitty Scott, Dottie Steele, and Betty Johnson, accompanied by Mrs. L.H. Whitley, also of Windsor, sang "Serenade to an Old Fashioned Girl," "Smiling Through" [and] "Crusaders Hymn," and Miss Norma Steele Boyette sang "Speak to me of Love." Mr. and Mrs. Morgan sang a sacred song as part of the program. Punch and an ice course was served during the evening. Rev. J.
