Crutchfield Pastor of Antioch Church 

  WINDSOR - Reverend and Mrs. G.C. Crutchfield have recently moved to the 
parsonage at Mt. Carmel Christian Church, where he will be pastor of Antioch 
and Mt. Carmel Churches. 

  Rev. G.C. Crutchfield is brother of H.G. [sic; H.E.] Crutchfield, who was 
pastor of Windsor Christian Church for several years.  Rev. G.C. Crutchfield 
came to Mt. Carmel and Antioch Churches from Bethlehem, N.C., where he was 
pastor for 16 years. 

  He has also served as pastor in Wakefield, Norfolk and Lynchburg.  He is a 
native of Guilford County, N.C., and a graduate of Elon College, N.C.  During 
the time he was pastor of Bethlehem Church, the church made much progress. 
It advanced from a one-room frame building to a brick church with a seating 
capacity of 750 people, also it has 14 class rooms, pastor's study and a 
fellowship hall.

Rev. CRUTCHFIELD (b. 12 Jul 1899 NC) is buried at his former charge, 
   Bethlehem Christian Church, Altamahaw, Alamance Co., NC.

On the day of his death, notice appeared in the "News-Herald" from 
   Rev. CRUTCHFIELD of a groundbreaking for an education building at 
   Antioch Christian Church, planned for 1 Mar 1959.  Notice posted at:

His brother, Rev. Henry Ervin CRUTCHFIELD (1901 - 1982), 
   is buried in the Holland Municipal Cemetery, Nansemond Co.
