Fifteen-year old Floyd Michael Carr was killed in the crash, which oc- curred about 7:50 a.m. last Wednesday. His father, Ju- [column break] lian Russel [sic] Carr, died shortly after being taken to Southampton Memorial Hospital. Trooper William G. Massengill said the Carr vehicle was traveling north on the highway and the tractor trailer driven by William Banks of Wal- ter, [sic] was traveling south. Massengill said Banks came up behind a slower moving vehicle and moved into the oncoming traffic lane. It was then that the two vehicles collided. Massengill said there was fog and a misty rain the morning of the accident and that visibility was poor.
