John P. Leitner, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. His body was taken from the Bullock Funeral Home to the church one hour before the funeral services. Mr. Atkins, 84, died Saturday [sic; Sunday] at the Obici Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident and farmer of Isle of Wight County and a member and senior deacon of Central Hill Baptist Church. He was the son of Joseph and Mary C. Atkins. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Crocker Atkins; a sister, Mrs. W.L. English of Isle of Wight Court House, and a brother, Lonnie R. Atkins of Windsor.
