Mrs. Atkins, a native of Isle of Wight County, was the widow of Eddie Thomas Atkins. She was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church and Grace Bible Church, Surry. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret A. Harris of Ivor and Nora A. Atkins of Smithfield; a son, Thomas L. Atkins of Suffolk; three sisters, Maggie L. Cook of Ivor, Etta Mae Cook of Smithfield and Annie W. Jones of Windsor; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, by the Rev. Jim Ivy. Burial was in Mill Swamp Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to the Isle of Wight county volunteer rescue squad. Elnora (WELLS; Mrs. Eddie T.)
