O.G. ALLEN

  Funeral services were held for O.G. Allen of Hilton, Sunday p.m. at 4:00 
in the Battery Park Baptist Church.  Mr. Allen was a native of Isle of Wight 
county* but has resided in Hilton for several years.  He was driving home 
from his work last Thursday p.m. and was stricken with paralysis.  He was 
rushed to a hospital, but all efforts to save his life failed.  He died 
Saturday morning at 10:50 o'clock.  He is survived by his wife Mrs. O.G. 
Allen, one daughter, Mrs. Harthrone Granger, one son, Henry Allen and two 
grandsons, Harthrone Granger, Jr. and Wade Allen Granger.  Two sisters, Mrs. 
E.P. Clark, Smithfield and Mrs. O.A. Bloxon, Battery Park.

The 1900 Census (Norfolk) and 1920 & '30 Census (Newport News) all give 
   b. Massachusetts.  1900 gives age 34, b. Oct 1865, parents b. Maine. 
   1910 gives age 34. 

He m. (age 31!) 26 Jun 1901, Zemora W. BLOXOM, in Isle of Wight, Co.

His father's Find a Grave Memorial (#76952059) gives 
   Henry Alfred Allen, b. Nova Scotia, Canada, d. Winthrop, Suffolk Co., MA.
