MABEL ARRINGTON CARRSVILLE- Mrs. Mabel Galtress Arrington, 54, wife of Charlie J. Arrington, died Tuesday at her home after a long illness. She was the daughter of Mrs. Tena Raiford Galtress* and the late William R. Galtress of Southampton Co. A member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and a member of the Faithful Workers Class, she was a salesclerk and buyer for Leggett's Department Store, Franklin. Surviving besides her mother and husband, are three daughter's, Mrs. Inell Rutledge of Carrsville, Mrs. Carolyn Clifford and Mrs. Tena Goodson of Franklin; two sons, Charlie J. Arrington Jr. of Courtland and H. Eugene Arrington of Arlington; five sisters, Mrs. L.B. Adams of Sedley, Mrs. M.L. Duke of Ivor, Mrs. R.L. Denson of Suffolk, Mrs. Charles Travis of Alexandria, and Mrs. R.B. Vaughan of Franklin; and four brothers, Thomas Galtress and George Galtress of Franklin, R.A. Galtress of Sedley and Norman M. Boykins of Wakefield, and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Friday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor and the Rev. Allen Lawrence, pastor of Newsoms Baptist Church.
