Babb, of Windsor, son of the late Mills and Elizabeth Griffin Babb of Isle of Wight County, died at the home of his son, John H. Babb, near Windsor, Sunday night after a short illness. Mr. Babb was born September 4, 1857, near Windsor. Surviving children are Mrs. Mary E. Spivey, John H. Babb and Leslie Babb, all of the Windsor community; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Babb has been a member of Colosse Baptist Church for over half century and was the oldest deacon of the church. He also was a member of Masonic Lodge. Funeral services were conducted from Colosse Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. Rufus Corbitt. Burial was in the church cemetery.
