She was the widow of Edward R. Bissett Sr. Born in Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late N. Thomas Lewis and Hettye L. Watson. She retired after 36 years of service at Leggett Department Store, Suffolk, and had formerly worked at Holmes, Ltd., Suffolk. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni, and had taught the Beginners Sunday School Class for many years. She was a member of the Young at Heart Club in Windsor. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn B. Cobb of Suffolk; a sister, Vivian L. Lewis of Zuni; a brother, T. Calvin Lewis of Suffolk; four grandchildren, Barry D. Cobb, Brenda C. Williams, Chris Ryan Bissett and Ashley Skye Bissett; and great-granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Cobb, all of Suffolk. She was mother of the late Edward Ryan Bissett Jr. Funeral services will be held in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. John P. Hartman. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and at other times at the residence of Carolyn B. Cobb, 520 Canine Trail, Suffolk.
