BOYETTE DIED IN HOPEWELL HOSPITAL Walter L. Boyette, 59, of Disputanta, died Sunday in John Randolph Hospital, Hopewell, after a brief illness. A farmer, he was born in Isle of Wight County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lessie W. Boyette; eight daughters, Mrs. Sarah Whisenant of Louisiana; Mrs. Clara Morse of Winfield, La.; Mrs. Marian Campbell of Hopewell; Mrs. Gladys Forehand of Prince Geo. County; Mrs. Doris Jones, of Spring Grove; Mrs. Madeline Pettit of Luray; and Misses Rachael and Naomi Boyette, both of Disputanta; six sons, Paul A. of Newport News; David C. of Hopewell; Mills, Joseph, Jacob and Richard Boyette, all of Disputanta; one brother, W.H. Boyette, Jr., of Hopewell, and one sister, Mrs. Mamie Massey of Norfolk, and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Gould Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Morris Taylor, pastor of First Congregational Christian Church, Hopewell, assisted by the Rev. James W. Madren, former pastor, officiated. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight County, near Windsor.
