REUBEN ALBERT BITTLE 

   A funeral service for Reuben Albert Bittle, 80, of Rt. 1, Box 114, Franklin 
was held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by the Rev. Edwin 
Thornton.

   Burial was in Beaver Dam Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Claude Hedgepeth, Willie Winborne, Jarvis Howell, James 
Blythe, Carson Daughtrey and L.J. Bittle.

   A native of Como, N.C., he had lived in this area for the past 46 years. 
He was a retired farmer.

   He was the husband of Mrs. Claire Wise Bittle and a son of Junie Albert and 
Mrs. Rosalee Worrell Bittle.

   He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, the Men’s Bible Class and a 
former deacon.

   Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Bittle Jones of 
Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Neblett of Norfolk and Mrs. Margaret 
Gibson of Chesapeake; one brother, Junie Glynn Bittle of Chesapeake; two 
grandsons and four great grandchildren.
