C. S. Butler Rites Set For Tomorrow 

  SMITHFIELD - Funeral services for Chilian S. Butler will be conducted 
tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at Woodland Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the 
church cemetery.  The body will be taken from the Bullock Funeral Home to 
the church at 1:30 p.m. 

  Mr. Butler, 66, died Monday in a Richmond Hospital after a long illness. 

  A farmer and lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, he was a member of 
Woodland Methodist Church and of its board of stewards the past five years. 

  Surviving are a son, John T. Butler of Windsor; a daughter, Mrs. G. Newton 
Goodrich of Smithfield; three sisters, Mrs. Percy L. Cofer of Smithfield, Mrs. 
Vernon L. Rhodes and Miss Lottie Butler of Windsor, and three grandchildren.

The obit fails to mention his widow, Virginia Davis (GWALTNEY NORFLEET) 
   BUTLER (1896 - 1982), buried with her first husband in Greenlawn Memorial 
   Park, Newport News.
