ELISHA FERRELL BUTLER

   SUFFOLK - A funeral service for Elisha Ferrell Butler, 72, will be held 
at 11 a.m. today in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Richard 
L. Feerey.  Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge.

   Butler died Tuesday in a hospital.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a retired gasoline station 
operator.

   Survivors include two sisters, Aleass Merrette of Norfolk and Lucy 
Williams of Suffolk; a brother, Algie Ray Butler of Franklin; and several 
nieces and nephews.
