Hill Funeral Home by Dr. A.L. Franklin, pastor of the Main Street Methodist Church. The casket was covered with a pall of pink roses and pink and white asters. Mrs. Catherine Powell Gayle, accompanied by Mrs. J.E. Goodwin, sang, "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" and "Lead Kindly Light." Active pallbearers were Marshall Bowden, J.W. Ward, E.T. Pope, H.L. White, Clarence Bradshaw and Edward Worrell, Honorary were friends of the family. Burial was in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.
