All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MINNIE ALCINDA ROSE BUTLER CARRSVILLE - A funeral service for Mrs. Minnie Alcinda Rose Butler was conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist church by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. and the Rev. John P. Batkins of Moseley. Burial was in the church cemetery. The body was taken from W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, to the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers were Henry T. Staples Jr., Gordon Staples, Frank Holland Jr., Lloyd Williams, Floyd Williams, Alfred R. Butler IV, Thomas F. Butler Jr. and John Clifton Butler. Mrs. Butler, 87, died early Monday in her home after a brief illness. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was the widow of Alfred Rawls Butler and a daughter of John T. and Mrs. Henrietta Purvis Rose. Surviving are six daughters Mrs. Lucy Staples of Evergreen, Mrs. Irene Howell of Franklin, Mrs. Eunice Vaughan of Hampton, Mrs. Janie Fox of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Minnie Holland of Holland, and Mrs. Nellie Williams of Moultrie, Ga., four sons, Alfred R. Butler Jr. and Wilson M. Butler of Virginia Beach, and T. Frank Butler of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie R. Butler of Carrsville, Mrs. Rebie R. Bryant of Lynchburg, and Mrs. Virgie R. Heffington of Virginia Beach; a brother, John C. Rose of Carrsville; 21 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. Minnie Alcinda (ROSE; Mrs. Alfred R.
