Batten Dies at Windsor WINDSOR - Willie Burton (Billy Buck) Batten, 84, died today at 5:30 a.m. at his home on Route 1, Windsor, after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at the graveside in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. William A. Grissom, pastor of the Windsor Congregational Christian Church. The funeral procession will leave the Hill Funeral Home for the cemetery at 3.30 p.m. Mr. Batten, who never married, is survived by several cousins. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church and was the son of the late William C. and Lou Ella Marshall Batten of Isle of Wight County. ****************************************************************************** William Burton [Batten] Rites Conducted Funeral services for William Burton Batten, who died Friday, were conducted Sunday afternoon at the graveside at Antioch Christian Church in Isle of Wight County by the Rev. William A. Grissom, pastor of the Windsor Christian Church. The casket was coverd with a pall of red roses, white carnations and Easter lilies. Pallbearers were Marshal Andrews, Trafton Whitley, Jeff Edwards, Zollie Johnson, Robert Eley, Frank Brown, Sam T. Kello and Willard Andrews.
